Abilene: A great meeting! Looking forward

by: hollyanntx

Thu Feb 07, 2008 at 23:34:09 PM CST

we are looking forward the next thing we are doing is registering voters, and educating people on the precinct convention process at one of the local catholic churches this weekend.

it is important to inform hispanic voters, and that is what we are doing. i understand that air has been purchased from 106.9 from the campaign so lets keep an ear out for it!

the next item on our agenda is having a local meeting for some "strategery" planning, details soon!

***mark your calendar for the fun run on Feb 23 ill post a flyer here online!

Wed Feb 06, 2008 at 13:47:49 PM CST

(welcome abilene! - promoted by mariochampion)

Hola fellow Obama supporters,
if you live in or around abilene now is the time to get involved!
we have a great group in Abilene. We have an upcoming Fun Run on Feb 23 we hope to raise money for signs and gear for everyone who wants to show their support. (we have had requests for the "republicans for obama" signs)

our volunteer efforts are 2 fold getting the word out. we have voter registration at St. Vincents Catholic Church this weekend, and plan to meet to organize more people very soon.

the second part is getting people out to the precinct conventions! In texas the delegate process is a series of  conventions. we will inform everyone of the process so they can get involved. we will be holding a training soon.

yes we can
