Many of you may know that I was an Edwards supporter at one time. I am now volunteering with the Obama campaign in Austin doing LGBT outreach. As all of you in Texas know, there are no stickers, signs, buttons, or much of anything to go around.
Last Saturday several volunteers with the campaign went down to clubs on 4th street and distributed more than 2300 rainbow stickers in about 2.5 hours. We would like to do it again but can't do it without your help!
Details after the fold. |
| ndhapple :: Help Obama with GLBT outreach in Austin |
| We are trying to print 6000-7000 rainbow stickers to repeat what we did last Saturday to blanket the gay bars and clubs in Austin this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately there is only one union printer who can handle an order of this size in Austin. That printer is American Printers... To print all of these stickers over the next 24 hours would cost approximately $1600.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
Campaign staffers tell us we can do this with inkind donations. This means that if you can't reached the $2300 contribution limit for the primaries you can contribute. Anything will help us reach this goal.
If you want to help e-mail me at ndhapple at gmail dot com. Or call State HQ at 476-2008 and ask for Nolan
Let's get the word out for Obama in the Austin GLBT commmunity. |
