First-time voter participation was at an all-time high for the Texas Primary, let's continue the trend in November and register as many students as we can before the last day of AISD classes on Wednesday June 4th.
That's right! Tomorrow's the last day! So I'm hosting a city-wide Voter Registration Drive at almost all the Austin High Schools, but I'll need your help to make it possible! The more people participate, the more schools we can canvass!
Let's send a message to the youth out there, especially the one's about to graduate, that their voice matters, and now they have to right to use it through voting for the first time in November! |

Please meet me at Scholz Garden event tonight. (info: http://my.barackobama.com/page... I'll be one of the many people there wearing a Texans for Obama T-Shirt. (call my cell) I'll be giving Voter Registration Cards and Deputizing people as Volunteer Registrars. I'll have some signs and clipboards as well.
If you don't see me tonight, I still encourage you to participate, print out some voter registration cards tomorrow to take with you, 20 or so should be enough. If you want I can provide the cards, I have plenty. If you have a portable fold-up table please take that. It's recommended that you become deputized as a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar first though. Otherwise me or someone who is, will have to sign them.
